George McGovern died the other day, a politician who I did not agree with but I admired. He had a style and grace that politicians of today would do well to emulate.
When asked how he defeated Ed Muskie in 1972 he simply stated that he out worked him, not that his policies were better, or that he was more intelligent, or that he had better ideas.
