Another angle

Emerson is my favorite all time writer but if you read closely you can see that one of his favorite writers is Montaigne, who fancied Plutarch so in around about way since it took nearly 2,000 years to fully develop the thoughts that impress me so much, you might say I’m a Plutarch, Montaigne, Emerson fan.

Here is a different angle from Tlaquepaque Phoenix where my studio is. I can’t remember if it is Lucis Art or Topaz plug-in for Photoshop, with just a touch of Painter X. In other words it has been altered a bit, color, density, contrast, but the general construction remains. It is an enchanted location I just embellished a bit.

My Studio

This is my studio location at Aldea or Tlaquepaque in Phoenix.  Both at night one in gold one in blue.

A new day

“May I die with many things left to do” I forget which great man left that sentiment and I’m sure it is not an exact quote, but I completely understand what he was saying. May I always be excited about getting up in the morning with more thing to do than I can possibly accomplish.

That is certainly how the years have been for me and the many wonderful people I have had the chance to photograph, I always wish I could linger on a subject, spent months in creating a new idea for a particular portrait but I’m always pressured by time and survival to keep photographing anew.

This is the reason that I’m taking Seth’s advice and blogging everyday at least this way I’ll have a chance to post some of the wonderful people it has been a joy to photograph. A time to take a deep sigh and just reflect and be thankful.

Ocean bride

Thanks to Danae and Carter, can't say enough about how wonderful these two people are.  Diane and I were treated like family, food, drink, portraits, games, fun, it was more like a vacation.  San Diego was cool and the water cold, but Danae and Carter were champions.
